Corey's Campaign Pledge

If elected, I commit to:

1: Continue the legacy of my dear friend, Karen Mayne. I will pick up right where she left off, and carry the torch across the finish line. Karen’s late husband, Eddie Mayne, was my mentor when I first ran for office at 25 years old.  Karen and Eddie are the reason—then and now—that I have the endorsement & support of the AFL-CIO which I will never take for granted. I will always be a friend to organized labor, workers, teachers, and public employees.

2: Ensure that the voice of our community is heard.  How? Through you. I will implement a direct text-to-vote system on important issues that make it onto Senate floor.  You will have access to provide direct feedback via poll text throughout the legislative session.  Just as I open my calendar to you now, I will be equally accessible to you to share your voice and visit with me on the senate floor. My voice will be your voice. West side representation absolutely must be heard in the legislature.

3: Lead the charge on water conservation.
The future of our communities is tied directly to the fate of the Great Salt Lake and the water policy decisions we make in the next few years. As an expert on water policy, a longtime local farmer who understands the challenges agriculture faces, and a conservationist who knows we have to get our house in order, I will be an indispensable voice for preserving our local environment and economy.
